Off Grid Solar Kits

You have selected to build an off grid solar kit to provide you with an independent unlimited source of free energy from the sun. When the utility power is unavailable or too expensive to bring in to your home or cabin, solar panels allow you to be your own utility company. You can live in peace, with no noisy gas generator to disturb the quiet. There are several variations of off-grid solar power, depending on your needs and budget. What's included in an Off Grid Solar Kit?
  • Solar Panels - They can be mounted on a roof, on a pole, or on the ground in an area clear of shadows.
  • Inverter / Chargers - This makes the solar power usable in your home by converting the direct current energy produced by the panels into alternating current energy. In off grid solar kits, string inverters serve as a charger for the battery also, which allows energy to be stored in the batteries.
  • Batteries - Batteries are what store the power you create. This allows you to have power at night when the sun is down. The battery bank can be configured depending on your needs such as; your energy requirement, days of autonomy etc.
  • Electrical Components - Boxes, Cabling, Disconnects
  • Racking (optional) - Ground or roof mounts are crucial for solar panels to optimize their generated power from the sun.
